How did you first come to yoga, & what was that experience like?

I came to yoga through the physical practice when my swim coach noticed some hyperextension issues. She recommended yoga for stability. I loved it right away for so many reasons. My first teacher was wonderful, grounding, and inclusive in the way she taught which made it very accessible for someone who was a little intimidated to try something totally new.

What is your favorite experience of Yoga?

A piece of Yogic Philosophy that's special to you?

I love the study of the Yamas and the Niyamas. They are concrete ways to take yoga off of the mat to bring some more good into the world. Ahimsa especially has been resonating with me lately as we continue to go through a global pandemic and divisions in our world to act without causing harm.

Why do you teach?

I love it so much, and I really enjoy sharing not only the physical practice, but all eight limbs of yoga with folks. It's a pleasure to see the benefits that everyone can gain from adding a little bit of time of the mat to their day.
