Yoga Teacher

Job Description: Sub-Contractor

Position Type: Part-Time

Rate: Determined based on experience and years of teaching

 

Our yoga teachers support one another in order to create a positive environment. We blend the elements of yoga with accessibility, professionalism, education and respect. A yoga teacher is one member of a team of instructors that has overall responsibility for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of safe and effective Yoga programs to improve health and well-being of all participants. 

Teachers must be fully reliable and outgoing, with the ability to connect with people to teach in a fun, friendly environment. We are looking for people with positive energy who are creative and unique with their yoga practice, have a broad knowledge of safe alignment and transitioning in asanas, and express a willingness to grow and learn with a great team of teachers!

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Maintains current on cutting-edge Yoga trends and equipment to provide continuously innovative programming. 

  • Adjusts participants’ classes/poses according to their level of fitness and ability.

  • Identifies and builds relationships with participants and local market groups to promote 

  • Teaches a variety of ages; have the ability and confidence to train young beginner participants well as advanced participants. 

  • Committed individual who is also available for occasional substitute teaching

  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 200-hour yoga certification

  • Ideally have 3 years of teaching experience

  • Have current liability insurance (sub-contractors only)

  • CPR and AED Certified within 3 months of hire
