We are located at 2820 2nd Street S. Suite 150 St. Cloud, MN 56301. We are across from Ford Dealership in the Heritage Market buildings; behind Liberty Bank and right next to Q-Nails.

For beginners we have Level 1 and Open level classes as well as a Beginner Foundations Series offered each quarter. Please click here for more information.

-You should wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing.

-Bring water and your mat if you have one.

-Please bring your own towel to any of our hot yoga classes

-We rent mat towels and mat if needed. We also sell them in the retail area.

Please arrive no later than 5 minutes before the class starts. We cannot guarantee your admittance to class if you arrive any later as the teacher may lock the studio door to ensure the safety of the students’ belongings.

Silence Your Cell Phone: Make a habit of doing this as soon as you get to class. You'll be embarrassed if your phone rings during class, and it's a major distraction for the instructor and other students. If you forget and your cell phone rings, own up to it and turn the ringer off immediately. Never answer the phone or send texts during class.

Arrive on Time: Arrive at least 10 minutes before the class is scheduled to start so you have time to check in, put down your mat, and go to the bathroom if necessary. If you do arrive late, don't enter a class more than 10 minutes after it has started. Wait for the next class or another day.

Respect Others' Mat Space: When we asked yoga students what their biggest pet peeves were, "people stepping on my mat" was the top answer. Yes, it seems like a small issue, and sometimes it's difficult in a really crowded room, but do your best to avoid stepping on other students' mats as you make your way through the room.

Also, if you attend a class that's usually crowded, place your mat fairly close to the person next to you so that there's enough space for everyone. Always be willing to move your mat to make room for another student.

Respect the Teacher: When you enter a yoga class, you sign on to respect the teacher for the next hour or so. You may discover halfway through the class that you don't care for this teacher, playlist, or style of yoga, but you should continue with the class, follow the teacher's instructions, take your savasana, and learn from the experience.

Go to the Bathroom During Resting Poses: It's fine to leave class for a few minutes to go to the bathroom. There's no need to ask the teacher's permission. The best time to go is when there's a period of rest, either in child's pose or downward dog. Just avoid dodging out during difficult poses or skipping part of savasana.

Don't Skip Savasana: Your final relaxation in savasana is an important part of your practice. Don't leave class early. If you must, tell the teacher prior to the class' start and take a short savasana before you go. Just don't make a habit of this.

Yes, mat towels and yoga mast rent for $2 each.

We do not have showers but there are three restrooms and a changing area.

At Shanti Yoga Center our hot yoga studio is heated to 95+ degrees. Our ethos is to provide fun and challenging class sequences where the added heat works in conjunction with your body. Our hot yoga classes aim to improve, flexibility, strength, balance, and cardiovascular capacity.

All class descriptions will indicate the level of heat you can expect. We offer classes that are lower temperature during seasonally hotter months and then we increase the temperature of the class as the season changes. Generally, hot style classes suit those who are looking for a more cardio intensive and detoxing yoga class incorporating the key standing, twisting, core and strength building postures. Variations and modifications of postures will be offered to suit all levels.

Always consult your physician first and inform the teacher of your injury before the class.

There is plenty of parking in the front of Shanti Yoga Center as well as across and around the other buildings. Maps are available on-site.

Classes divided into styles of yoga but also levels. Check with your teacher before moving up a level and always inform your teacher if you are pregnant of have any injuries. If you are brand new to a yoga practice, you will be encouraged to schedule a 30-minute private session with Jessie, owner of Shanti Yoga Center, so you feel supported in your first class and experience. Jessie will help direct you to your first class and will help you identify a schedule that will work with your interest and aspirations in the practice.

Open Level Open to all levels from beginners to more experienced. The teacher adapts the class according to the students making it a lovely multi-level class with opportunities for learning and growth, no matter what your experience is in the practice.

Level 1 Open to complete beginners, those in the initial stages of yoga practice or those seeking a gentle asana practice. You will learn the fundamentals of yoga, beyond the postures to include pranayama (breath work) and meditation.

Level 1-2 Builds on the foundational elements and awareness established in a Level 1 class. A working knowledge of yoga principles is expected.

Level 2-3 Teaches more difficult postures and breathing techniques. Assumes an understanding of the gross as well as the subtle aspects of a yoga practice. For students looking to increase their physical strength, flexibility and endurance but also a deeper understanding of pranayama (breath work) and meditation techniques.

Level 3 Works on deeper physical and psychological level by introducing more sophisticated practices. Including more challenging asana (postures) like inversions and backbends as well as pranayama (breath work), mudra and meditation. Not suitable for beginners.
