How did you first come to yoga, & what was that experience like?

I was teaching a stretch/flowing movement class and our club brought in a few different yoga trainings - my first was SAFAX and then YogaFit came and I knew it was for me. At the time they were making yoga palatable to group exercise instructors and personal trainers.

What is your favorite experience of Yoga?

It still makes me laugh...I forgot part of a sequence on one side and I could hear them shouting that I forgot even though no one said a word. I told them about it and they all laughed. Sometimes we are really in tune to those in room and we can feel your energy when you feel a certain way :)

A piece of Yogic Philosophy that's special to you?

Why do you teach?

I love everything about yoga. How my body feels, the connection to breath, the slowing down of racing thoughts, the energy from the people that attend my classes. It is a great compliment to other aspects of fitness - if we're doing cardiovascular training and strength training, we also need the mobility training component that the physical practice of yoga offers. It is also a wonderful way to learn to let go of things that don't serve us and bring us happiness.
