How did you first come to yoga, & what was that experience like?
My sister in-law Lori invited me to a yoga class March of 2007. I instantly fell in love with yoga after my first class which was delivered with a passionate, powerful, yet peaceful voice. That night led me to my greatest learning of yoga, especially the breath work. I really gained an appreciation of yoga after that night. I incorporate yoga principles into my daily living. I find interest in the yoga sutras of Patanjali, the eight limbs of yoga. I need to be fully engaged on and off the mat for growth. Some days I nail it and some days I fail. I realize it is just a practice, not perfection.
What is your favorite experience of Yoga?
What I love most about yoga is my breath work and how it can alter my mind and body.
A piece of Yogic Philosophy that's special to you?
Niyamas: inward practices to improve myself. My biggest take away was getting rid of the negative chatter that was present at times in my thoughts, it was a waste of energy and emotions.

2018: 200 hour RYT certification with an emphasis on the Baptiste Methodology at UP Yoga Minneapolis. The Empowerment program I took was lead by Lindsay Grabb the founder and owner of UP Minneapolis MN.
